The City Council approved ordinances amending the moratoriums on residential and non-residential tenant evictions where the failure to pay rent was a result of COVID-19. Moratoriums will end on the same day as both the City and State Declaration of COVID emergency, which is February 28, 2023.
The Stockton City Council approved Motion 2022-12-06-1501 ending the Proclamation of the Existence of a Local Emergency, dated March 12, 2020, ending the COVID-19 State of Emergency in the City of Stockton, effective February 28, 2023.

Due to the significant increase in the community spread of COVID-19, the California Department of Public Health Services orders certain business sectors to close indoor operations in 19 counties on the Monitoring List, which includes San Joaquin County: Restaurant Dine-In, Wineries & Tasting Rooms, Card Rooms. Outdoor operations may continue with appropriate modifications, including physical distancing and face coverings.
Effective June 18, 2020, the California Department of Public Health Service issued Guidance on the Use of Face Coverings, requiring the use of face coverings in California in public or common spaces.
