<title>Charter Review Commission Accepting Applications</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>A Citizen Charter Review Commission has been established to consist of 15-members: one citizen from each Council District appointed by each City Councilmember (6) and 9 citizen members from the Mayor’s Charter Review Committee.</p><p></p><p>Applications are currently being accepted.  All applicants must and be registered to vote and reside within the city of Stockton.  Councilmember appointees must reside within the Council District of appointment. <title>City Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Proposed Budget Released</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The City of Stockton has released a proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2013-2014.  The Stockton City Council will hold budget study sessions on June 3, 4 and 6, and final adoption of the budget is scheduled for the June 25, 2013, City Council Meeting.  All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are held at City Hall, Council Chambers, 425 N. El Dorado Street, 2nd floor. <title>Stockton Fire Department Approved for $1 Million Grant</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The Stockton Fire Department has been awarded a $1 million FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) to fund the purchase of two new fire engines. These engines are in addition to the four new engines that the City approved last year, which will be delivered and placed into service by May. The FEMA grant-funded engines will need to be constructed in a factory, which takes approximately six months from the date of order.
