Alleys and Right-of-Ways

The Public Works Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Streets and Community Enhancement crews maintain the City's right-of-ways in a safe manner.  This includes limited maintenance of City alleyways, such as pothole repair and debris removal.

Heavy debris in an alley is unattractive and can interfere with emergency response.  This area is a public right-of-way for emergency and safety personnel, up to the back of your property.

To report debris dumped in an alley or to request pothole repair, please submit a service request for Alley Maintenance or call the Municipal Service Center.

Walls and Fences

The Public Works Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Streets and Community Enhancement crews maintain City-owned walls and fences, keeping them free of graffiti and structurally sound.  Most City-owned walls border major streets and protect residential areas from the noise and dirt of major traffic.  

To report a wall or fence you believe to be City owned and in need of repair, submit a City Walls and Fence Service Request or call Municipal Service Center. 

To report graffiti on any property, public or private, please leave a message on the Grafitti Hotline at 209-937-8040 or fill out a Graffiti Removal Service Request
