Goals for Fiscal Year 2021-22

The City Manager established the following goals for the Fiscal Year 2021-22. Learn more about the work behind these goals on the Sustainability Projects page.

 

  •  Implement Funded Climate Projects 

    • City’s Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Implementation Grant.
    • Promote existing commercial and residential energy efficiency programs.

  • Pursue New Funding Opportunities

    • Electric vehicle charging infrastructure and other transportation alternatives.
    • Participate in AB 617 planning and support recommendations for funding that meet City environment and sustainability priorities.
    • Monitor and apply for funding opportunities that match City sustainability priorities.

  • Update & Coordinate Climate Plans

    • Update the City’s Greenhouse Gas Inventory and report results.
    • Develop environment and sustainability goals for City operations.
    • Develop an Annual Sustainability Report to share with City Council and the community.
    • Assess the need and feasibility of a new Office of Environment and Sustainability. This would be a budget-neutral endeavor, leveraging external funding sources.
