The Stockton City Council approved using CRF funds to help support the individuals and organizations that have suffered harm due to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding opportunities are posted to this page, as the funding opportunity becomes available.
The City of Stockton Economic Development Department funded 47 organizations, including community-based and business-oriented non-profit organizations, non-profit housing developers, and faith-based organizations (for non-religions activities) in the following categories: Community Support; Housing, Homeless and Shelter Programs and Services; and Distancing Learning and Education Support. A total of $3.7 million in support has been provided.
The City of Stockton Rental/Mortgage Assistance Program was made available to households that are at risk of losing their homes due to a reduction in income. Eligible households (that did not exceed 100% of the area median income) received funding for up to three (3) months of assistance with a maximum of $3,600 for renters and $4,800 for homeowners: 1,280 families received a total of $4.89 million in assistance.
This program provided emergency funding to families and individuals experiencing immediate economic hardship caused by the COVID-19 public health crisis. Funding was provided to households to be used for the purpose of necessary provisions. One-time grant assistance of $1,000 was provided to no more than two (2) adult income-eligible individuals per household, with maximum household assistance of $2,000. A total of 1,603 individuals were assisted with a total of $1.73 million.
