The City offers two dental plans through Delta Dental:
The City offers one vision plan through Vision Service Plan (VSP).
The City offers an Employee Assistance Program through Halcyon EAP for employees and family members experiencing emotional or family problems, legal/financial difficulty, and/or struggling with substance abuse issues. Services include confidential assessments (up to three counseling sessions free of charge) and referral services for extended treatment.
Employees are also provided life insurance through MetLife with life insurance benefits of $50,000 for each employee. For some employee bargaining units, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefit is provided.
Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance Coverage
Miscellaneous employees are provided with long term disability insurance coverage. The benefits of this plan for each disability is approximately 66 2/3% of salary up to the maximum salary replacement amount.
The City offers the IRS Section 125 plans Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts including commuter accounts such as Parking and Transit. Accounts are administered by the P&A Group. These benefits allow for pre-tax payroll deductions for:
