Run Card Assignments

The Stockton Fire Department is divided into two battalions which are managed by a Battalion Chiefs. A Chief's Operator (aide) is also on duty at all times to assist the Battalion Chiefs. The Chief's Operator is responsible for the Mobile Command Unit and responds to all structure fires, hazardous material incidents, or large-scale emergency medical service (EMS) incidents. The Chief's Operator also ensures that the daily staffing requirements are met.

Standard Structure Fire

• 3 Engines, 2 Trucks, 2 Battalion Chiefs, 1 Chief's Operator (One of the responding trucks serves as a Rapid Intervention Team)

Downtown Structures/High-Risk District

• 3 Engines, 2 Trucks, 2 Battalion Chiefs, 1 Chief's Operator (One of the responding companies serves as a Rapid Intervention Team)

Still Alarms, Vehicle Fires, Dumpsters fires, Slow-Speed Vehicle Accidents         

• 1 Engine

Fire Season Grass Fires                                             

• 2 Engines, 2 Off-road Grass Rigs

EMS                                                                                 

• First due Engine or Truck Company

EMS High Risk (Shootings/Stabbings/Etc.)

• 1 Engine, 1 Battalion Chief

Auto Accidents on High-Speed Streets and Freeways

• 2 Engines, 1 Truck, 1 Battalion Chief

Haz Mat Incidents                                                          

• 1 Hazardous Materials (Haz Mat) Team (Engine 10 and Truck 7), 1 Engine, 1 Battalion Chief, 1 Chief's Operator

Urban Search and Rescue Incidents

• 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team (Engine and Truck 3), 1 Engine, 1 Battalion Chief

 Urban Search and Rescue Incidents (Confined Space)

• 1  Urban Search and Rescue Team(Engine and Truck 3), 1 Engine, 1 Battalion Chief, 1 Haz Mat Team

Swift Water and Dive Rescue Incidents

• 1 Swift Water and Dive Rescue Team (Company 6), 1 Engine, 1 Truck, 1 Battalion Chief
