North Stockton

The North Stockton Redevelopment Project Area Plan was approved by the Redevelopment Agency on July 13, 2004.  The project area encompasses 3,687 acres and includes the area between Interstate 5 Freeway and Union Pacific Railroad right of way, south of North Bear Creek Levee Road, and north of Harding Way.

The main project currently taking place in the North Stockton RDA is the University Neighborhood Plan under development as the pilot project for the City's Neighborhood Renaissance Program.  The North Stockton Project Area Committee (PAC) has identified the following activities as the types of projects they would like to see:

  1. Housing Projects, including rehabilitation, new construction, and homeowner assistance;
  2. Business assistance, including incentive programs, rehabilitation and facade programs; and
  3. Infrastructure improvements, including sewer line replacements and street/sidewalk improvements.
