The City of Stockton Community Services Department is providing free swimming lessons for Stockton youth through the Learn to Swim Equity Program which will award a total of $19,000 in grant funds. The grant program’s goal is to support a new program to teach youth how to swim at zero cost to the families.
The Learn to Swim Equity Program is funded through the Brian M. Stocker fund that was established at the Community Foundation of San Joaquin through a legacy gift from the estate of Brian M. Stocker. The mission of the Fund is to support Brian’s lifelong passion for recreation programs, wellness, and healthy living among children and youth.
