District 4 Councilmember Lenz

Councilmember Susan Lenz PhotoBiography

Councilmember Susan Lenz is a Certified Public Accountant and independent business owner. Susan was born and raised in Stockton, graduated from Stagg High School and San Joaquin Delta College, and received her Bachelors of Science from Humphrey’s College.

Councilmember Lenz is not new to elected office, having served for 10 years as a Lincoln Unified School District Trustee (2004 – 2014). She continues to serve the educational community as a current Board Member for the John McCandless Charter STEM School.  In addition, she is a Board Member and Treasurer for the Mary Graham Foundation, which supports foster youth as they attend college and trade schools and provides support for foster youth at the Mary Graham Hall.

While on the Lincoln Unified Board, she worked through difficult financial situations to help balance the budget each year and gained an understanding for how maintaining a high-quality workforce must be balanced with providing students with an educational experience that is both challenging and engaging.

With over three decades of extensive budget and financial experience and a decade of public service, Susan recognized that her leadership skills and commitment to the larger community would be beneficial to serving the City as a member of the Council.

She and her husband Don have two children, John and Alice, who are both Lincoln High School and University of California, Santa Barbara, graduates.
