Glenn Allen Award

The Glenn Allen Award recognizes those individuals, organizations or businesses who have done extraordinary work in the field of historic preservation; who have designed, constructed, rehabilitated or renovated a structure, district, site or street scape in an effort to enhance the historic character of Stockton; and who have demonstrated a renewed commitment to our community's heritage through the successful completion of the nominated project.

The Glenn Allen Award is named in honor of Glenn Allen, who practiced as an architect in Stockton. He was the first president of the local Architects' Associated and the designer of countless public buildings which are still existing including the Stockton Civic Memorial Auditorium, the Jewish Community Center, First Church of Christ Scientist, Dawson's Fireproof Storage, the Henery Apartments, Mayfair Apartments, Tudor Flats and the Hotel Terry, to name a few.
