Apply for City of Stockton Poet Laureate
The City of Stockton is seeking a Poet Laureate to bring poetry to the community and to foster an appreciation of poetry in the lives of community members.
- Deadline for applications is 4 p.m. on January 31, 2019, and includes a $2,000 per year stipend.
- The new Poet Laureate will serve as appointed by the City Council for a two-year term, July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2021, with an optional additional two-year term, approved upon mutual acceptance.
- Qualified applicants must reside within the city limits of Stockton and remain a resident within the City limits for the entire term(s) of service.
- Interviews for applicants meeting the qualifications will be scheduled in February 2019.
