The City of Stockton is excited about the NEW 70-unit affordable housing complex located at 1339 Kingsley Avenue near Shimuzu Drive.

As residents move into their brand new units, consisting of 36 two-bedroom, 21 three bedroom and 13 four bedroom town home style apartments (as well as a children's play area and basketball court), they are pleased to find spacious living rooms, modern appliances and elegant landscaping. Construction techniques included ADA accessibility and adaptability along with energy efficient windows, heating and cooling, and ENERGY STAR appliances.

The complex is also equipped with an onsite Community Center offering resident's enrollment in "The Head Start" program -- a great asset in comprehensive child and family development.

The City of Stockton supported this project by investing $3.5 million into the development through a combination of federal funds which included Home Investment Partnership Program and Community Development Block Grant dollars.
